In Moscow water animal trainer Yevgeni Panchuk stages shark performances in a giant aquarium for foreign and Russian audiences. While Panchuk feeds the many fish in the tank he plays with a shark. Many in the Russian press have called Panchuk antics “brave” especially when he touches the shark’s head and back fin together. While training the shark to do these feats Panchuk said that the shark had bitten his hand many times.
Pankcuk wears protective gloves because sharks have 1500 teeth. As Panchuk does his show he kisses the shark from time to time to attract attention. When he is done with the show he gives a fish to the shark as a reward. (Cihan)
