Bomb discovered at a McDonalds in Istanbul

An employee has discovered a bomb in the women’s restroom of a McDonald’s restaurant in Istanbul's Fatih district, Doğan news agency reported today.

The bomb was placed inside a jar and contained a form of unidentified chemical dust, according to a police investigation.

The bomb squad arrived at the scene immediately to prevent a possible blast.

The deactivated bomb was taken to the criminal lab for further investigation.
