Galatasaray won the the Super League championship for the 18th time with a 0-0 draw at arch-rival Fenerbahçe's stadium at Istanbul's Kadıköy district, daily Hürriyet reported.
The game was marred by crowd trouble in and outside the stadium, and harsh police response.
Fenerbahçe fans occupied the pitch and clashed with police after Galatasaray' victory. Violence continued outside the stadium as well. Video footage showed at least two police cars turned over by rioting fans as police used tear gas to disperse the crowd.
Galatasaray fans filled the Taksim Square in Istanbul, as well as other central locations around Turkey to celebrate the championship. (hurriyetdailynews)
