Hummus recipe

Hummus is a famous appetizer in Middle Eastern cuisine. Hummus means chickpeas in Arabic, and the legume is the main ingredient in the dish. Serve it with pita bread.

500 gr boiled chickpeas
100 gr tahini
50 gr olive oil
2 lemons’ juice
3 teaspoons cumin
1 teaspoon red pepper
I used canned chickpeas. Mash the chickpeas very well until they are pureed. In a bowl mix lemon juice, red pepper, cumin and tahini. Add the chickpeas, mix well, add olive oil and mix again. Place it on a serving plate.
