An air operation was launched against outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) camps in northern Iraq last night, Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) website PUKmedia has reported, according to Doğan news agency.
Turkish jets reportedly bombed Kandil Mountain, which is home to senior PKK leaders and the main camps of the organization.
Some main roads in the region were also targeted in the operation.
