A operation was launched against a group of PKK members who were detected by unmanned aerial vehicles in rural area of Hakkari at about 2am on Thursday morning. 8 PKK members were killed in the air-supported operation in rural area of Semdinli town of Hakkari in southeastern Turkey.
The group of the PKK are believed to have attempted for a winter deployment in the area, according to a written statement of Hakkari Governorhip. A large amount of ammunition was also seized in a PKK shelter in the operation. 3 explosives machinery, a large number of batteries, 1 RPG-7 ammunition and propelling cartridge, food, 3 goratex costume, and a number of digging tools such as pick axe, shovel were seized in the operation.
