MHP to continue with Bahçeli as leader

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) delegates have re-elected Devlet Bahçeli as their leader at the party’s congress today in Ankara, daily Hürriyet has reported.

Bahçeli retained his post with 725 of 1,241 delegates voting in his favor.

Bahçeli’s strongest rival was MHP Trabzon deputy Koray Aydın, who received 441 votes, according to Hürriyet. (hurriyetdailynews)
