A Syrian school that will provide primary and high school education to Syrian students who live in Turkey was recently opened in Istanbul’s Esenler district, daily Radikal has reported.

The Kadimun Syrian School, which can host 360 students, will reportedly begin its education term on Nov. 5.

The school’s curriculum has been prepared in parallel with schools in Syria, while Turkish has been set as the second language, reports said.

The project has been designed to keep Syrian people close to their own culture and language while living outside their homeland, said the school’s principal, Mehdi al-Husseini. (hurriyetdailynews)
